This place might only be for early birds and late lunches, but the food is definitely worth it. Affordable while also packed with flavors. If there was a food joint that exemplified “simple and sweet” it would be this place.

We are always looking for the hole in the wall. That is absolutely better than anything in the larger restaurants. This is it the whole menu is worthy of sampling

The place is very festive and clean, so inviting. The staff is welcoming and helpful, they checked on us for refills. The food is tasty and reasonably priced. You order at the counter and then seat yourself, it's a very simple process. We didn't get free chips and salsa, so that was a bit disappointing, but overall it was a great experience.

Outstanding Hidden Gem Don’t let its location fool you—Acapulco Mexican Restaurant Express, tucked inside a small shopping center next to a gas station, is an absolute treasure. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a warm “hello” and a genuine smile. That kind of hospitality makes a difference, and it immediately sets the tone for a great dining experience. This is a walk-up, order-at-the-counter type of place, with self-seating options. You can either sit at a table or at the side bar overlooking the kitchen—both are great choices, depending on your mood. I personally love that setup because it adds to the charm and casual, inviting atmosphere. Now, let’s get to the food—because WOW. I ordered the bacon and egg mix plate, which came with beans and potatoes, and I had the option of corn or flour tortillas. I went with corn (my favorite), and they were soft, warm, and perfect. My husband got a carne guisada taco and a chorizo, potato, and egg taco on flour tortillas. Every bite was packed with flavor, and you could taste the authenticity and freshness in every dish. Our drinks came out quickly, followed by our food, which was served hot and fresh. The meal also came with green and red salsa—both were fantastic, but the red salsa was my favorite with its bold, flavorful kick. And now, let’s talk about price—because this might be the best part. $13.50 for everything! That’s almost unheard of for food this good, this fresh, and this filling. Between the friendly service, delicious food, and unbeatable prices, Acapulco Mexican Restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves way more attention. We will absolutely be back, and if you’re looking for a fantastic, affordable Mexican meal, I highly recommend you give this place a try!

Absolutely phenomenal place for a truck stop. I stopped here early in the morning and the people are super kind and nice inside the shopping center. The food was fresh and warm and more than worth the price. Would recommend to any fellow trucker/traveler looking for a decent meal

When I come here to sit down and eat, the meal I get every time is the Nopalitos con Huevo. The meal is delicious, And I feel like the portions are very generous, especially considering the whole plate is only $6.99! They're red hot sauce is also nice and spicy, just how I like it (And they have a green hot sauce for folks that like it more mild). I've also gone through the drive-thru and gotten breakfast tacos, and they were also delicious, with plenty of filling. They don't skimp on the eggs and other ingredients and give you a scraggly little taco like other taco places around here tend to do. Highly recommend this place, whether you go through the drive-through or take the time to sit down in there very clean and generally quiet dining area. They're also very attentive and come around periodically to make sure everything's okay and see if you need anything. Definitely far better food and better service than I would have expected from a place that is attached to a gas station.
